Drill Sergeant Dina Manzo and her party planning troops invade Homeowners Kim and John Fio Rito's home to throw a military-themed 40th birthday party for John, a military veteran and graduate of West Point. Dina transforms their living and dining rooms into an elegant party space spilling over with yellow roses. Outside, Dina surprises the couple with a whimsical, nature-inspired tent dripping with wisteria vines and moss where Ileana and Angelo tearfully exchange their vows. Dina's final surprise for the parents of three is hotel-inspired bedroom makeover where the couple can enjoy a romantic retreat in their very own home.

Barbara Anderson's lower level was completely destroyed in a flood. It's her childhood home, full of memorabilia, all swept away by the raging waters. Designer/event planner Dina Manzo gives Barbara a beautiful, brand new family room and she throws a Polish-style family reunion to celebrate the new space. There will be a fantastic kid's area, sleeper sofa, and Mexican tiled fireplace. And the party will bring Barbara's sisters all home from afar to be together for the first time since the flood damaged their house. She has come to terms with it all, and wants to start this next year on a positive note, Designer/event planner Dina Manzo has an idea: a starting over celebration to kick things off. First, Dina pampers Melissa with a trip to the hair salon and a new party dress. The party itself will have a Hollywood red carpet theme and Melissa's name in lights on the marquee. And, since Melissa's young daughter is about to leave the only home she's ever known, Dina builds a her a playhouse, the same color as the house she's leaving, to take to her new home.

Brian Diamond wants to throw a surprise 40th birthday party for his wife, who is a yoga instructor. He also wants to give her an incredible home yoga studio as a present. His wife will know nothing about any of these plans, if Brian and designer Dina Manzo can keep it all secret. Dina feels the pressure of making over this yoga space because she hasn't even met its owner! Dina brings in a Feng Shui expert for a hilarious lesson in space planning. For the surprise party itself, Brian sends his wife out of town, and Dina has a short amount of time to sneak in and create a beautiful evening worthy of this special birthday.
