The District inspectors are engaged in the case of the kidnapping of an eighteen-year-old girl, who according to her father's testimony would have staged a false kidnapping to obtain money from him. The hypothesis is denied by the discovery that the girl is dead and her body lies inside the trunk of the car in the open countryside.
