Palermo. Deputy Commissioner Giulia Corsi has an appointment with Alfio Spada, a member of the Serao clan who is showing signs of repentance. During the meeting, Spada begins to reveal something hot but two hitmen burst in and open fire. Giulia, wounded, is unable to save her informant. Meanwhile, in Rome, many colleagues have left the X Tuscolano. Understaffed, our men wonder why replacements haven't arrived yet. Luca Benvenuto, in a meeting with Commissioner Fittante, discovers that, due to lack of funds, the X will be closed. But fate plays a cruel trick. A shooting in a bar in Tuscolano leaves three dead and one wounded, Remo Damiani (Marco Giuliani). We discover that Remo and Luca were inseparable as teenagers. Pranks, pranks, and a shared love for Viola (Antonella Bavaro), the woman who is now married to Remo and is the mother of their only son, Marco.
