Horton Hatches the Egg
Maisie the bird is tired of sitting on her egg day after day waiting for it to hatch. She would rather be off playing so she looks for a replacement. She sees Horton the elephant walking by and talks him into taking her spot. Maisie goes off to Palm Beach and has such a good time she decides not to go back. Horton sits through the winter on the egg waiting for Maisie to return. Hunters come in the springtime and capture Horton while he is still sitting on the egg to take him back to America to sell him to a circus. Originally released, in 1942, as part of Warner Bros.' 'Merrie Melodies' series.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas
Boris Karloff narrates an animated tale about the lonely and heartless title character who decides to dress up as Santa and steal the Christmas decorations, gifts and feast from the people of Whoville.

Horton Hears a Who
In this story, Horton discovers there is a microscopic community of intelligent beings called the Who's living on a plant that only he can hear. Recognising the dangers they face, he resolves to keep them safe. However, the other animals around him think Horton has gone crazy thinking that there are such beings. They resolve to take action for his own good and Horton and The Who must struggle against these impossible odds to prevent a tragedy.

The Lorax
A young boy goes to meet a ruined industrialist, the Once-ler, in a treeless wasteland and hear his tale of what happened to him. His tragic story is about how he began a thriving business selling Thneeds, a product of questionable merit, derived from the tops of Truffula Trees, plentiful in the area. As his business booms, the forest and its inhabitants suffer as he wantonly clear-cuts the trees, without regard to the warnings of a wise old creature, called the Lorax, about the dire consequences of his greed.

The star-bellied Sneetches don't care much for the plain-bellied variety, excluding them from any of their fun. Along comes Sylvester McMonkey McBean, the "fix-it-up chappie", who has an amazing machine that can add and remove stars for anyone with the money to pay for it. Soon, after running out of money, the Sneetches realize that appearance doesn't really define people at all.

Dejected klutz Pontoffel Pock gets fired from his job at a pickle factory. Pock wishes to get away from it all and receives a magical piano from jolly fairy McGillicuddy. Pock embarks on a series of loopy misadventures as the piano enables him to travel all over the world.

Daisy-Head Mayzie
The Cat in the Hat narrates a story about a girl named Mayzie McGrew, who mysteriously has a daisy growing from her head! This happens during the school hours, so she's ridiculed by her friends, and speculated by her teacher, principal, parents, and any other adults confirmed of Mayzie's problem. The situation reaches its high point when Finagle steps in and offers Mayzie a place in stardom, based from the daisy in her head. Mayzie herself, for reasons unknown, takes the offer, not long before she finds out the hard way how fame & fortune can bring unhappiness. It's some time after her daisy disappears that Mayzie realizes that the love of her family & friends is what really matters. From that point on, things are back to normal -- except for a few of Mayzie's daisies sprouting up, every now & then.
