With no new battles to fight, Goku has been living a quiet life in the countryside with his wife Chi-chi and their son Gohan! While Goku makes plans to spend a happy day with friends on Master Roshi's island, a powerful new threat is on its way to Earth. And the arrival of this sinister alien could spell disaster for Goku and his friends! 

The Strongest Warrior in All of History is Goku's Brother!

Goku and Gohan attend a reunion on Master Roshi's island, where Goku introduces his son to all of his old friends. The smiles quickly fade, however, as an unexpected visitor lands on the island, and for Goku the day becomes a reunion of a different kind. A powerful alien has arrived. It's Raditz, Goku's evil older brother! 

Alright! This is the Strongest Combo on Earth!

Raditz has kidnapped Gohan! And unless Goku agrees to forsake his friends and the people of Earth by joining the sinister Saiyan, he may never see his son again! All hope is not lost, however, as a second uninvited guest arrives on the island and Goku forges an unlikely alliance! 

Piccolo's Trump Card! Gohan is a Crybaby

The situation looks bleak for Goku and Piccolo, as Raditz easily deflects every attack they send his way. But Piccolo may have a way to stop the sinister Saiyan. He's perfected a powerful new attack... the Special Beam Cannon! There's only one problem. Piccolo needs time to gather the energy for the blast, which means Goku will have to last for five minutes against Raditz alone! 

Goku Dies! There's Only One Chance Left

As Goku takes blow after punishing blow from the evil Raditz, Gohan is able to watch no longer! The young boy's rage unlocks an awesome power sleeping within him, and he unleashes a mighty attack that not even Radtiz can resist! But as quickly as Gohan's power appears, it vanishes. And when Raditz prepares to strike back, Goku must make the ultimate sacrifice to save his son! 

Even Enma-sama is Surprised — A Fight in the Afterlife

With Raditz defeated and Goku gone from this world, the surviving Z-Fighters must begin preparing for the arrival of two more Saiyans who will reach Earth in one year's time. Piccolo takes Gohan into the wild for a severe training program, in the hope that his hidden power will be revealed. Meanwhile, Goku embarks on a new adventure in the next world, as he must travel the endless miles of Snake Way to receive training from the legendary King Kai! 

Dinosaur Survival! Gohan's Difficult Training

Gohan begins his first day of Piccolo's training. Alone in the wilderness, he must quickly learn to take care of himself. But that isn't easy when he's tired, hungry -- and being chased by hungry dinosaurs! If Gohan's first day is this dangerous, how will he ever survive for the second? 

The Great Transformation on a Moonlit Night! The Secret of Gohan's Power

Krillin receives a startling message. Korin wants him to gather Yamcha, Tien, and Chiaotzu and report for special training! And if that weren't enough, he and Roshi still have to find a way to tell Chichi what's happened to Goku and her son. Meanwhile, Gohan's training causes him to undergo a shocking transformation! 

Sorry Robot-san — The Tears that Vanished in the Desert

Gohan falls into a hole in the desert and discovers a robot buried in sand in an ancient underground ruin. The robot tells him not to disturb its sleep, but Gohan, reluctantly, wakes it up again and again. As the robot looks after Gohan, it begins to get along with him. 

Don't Cry Gohan! His First Fight

Krillin visits Yamcha in preparation for the crisis one year from now. Yamcha, who had left martial arts to become a professional baseball player, decides to train under Kami after learning of Goku's death and the Saiyan invasion. Meanwhile, Gohan, who has been surviving in the wilderness, begins caring for an injured herbivorous dinosaur. 

The Saiyan, Strongest Warriors in the Universe, Awaken!

Vegeta and Nappa, two Saiyans heading to Earth, plan to plunder Planet Arlia on the way. However, the once fertile planet Arlia has become a ruined planet ruled by a dictator. The two are obediently taken to the castle, but Nappa wipes out the soldiers and easily defeats the ultimate monster weapon. 

Catnap on the Serpent Road — Goku Takes a Tumble

Despite being followed around by Lunch, Tenshinhan continues his training with Chiaotzu at a waterfall deep in the mountains. After hearing the story of Krillin and Bulma, he decides to undergo training from Kami. At the same time, Goku has finally made it halfway down the Snake Path.

Hands Off! Enma-sama's Secret Fruit

Tenshinhan and his friends start climbing the Karin Tower to undergo training from God. At the same time, Goku slips off Snake Way while sleeping and falls into Hell. Unable to return, Goku tries to eat the fruit of the Enshou Tree, but the demons Gozu and Mezu notice him. However, after hearing the story, they challenge Goku to a game of tag, on the condition that they show him the way out of Snake Way.

Such Sweet Temptation! The Snake Princess's Hospitality

Krillin and the others begin their training at Kami's Lookout. Then, Goku returns to Snake Way and discovers a mansion along the way, where he is drawn in by a mysterious force. What's more, the owner of the mansion, the Snake Princess, falls in love with Goku at first sight. She uses various tactics to try and stop him, but Goku evades all of her temptations and tries to hurry on. 

Escape from Piccolo! Gohan Summons a Storm

When Goku had finally traveled halfway, Gohan, who was training in the wilderness, became homesick and tried to go back home. However, no matter how much he ran along the coast after passing through the desert, he always ended up back where he started. Curious, Gohan climbed a mountain and discovered that he was on an island.

Run, Gohan! Longing for Mt. Paozu, Where Chi-Chi is Waiting

Gohan is caught in a storm and thrown into the sea, where he washes up on a shore where he is rescued by some unknown children. The group is orphans who have lost their parents and are living alone in the ruins, led by the eldest, Piguero. They refuse to be placed in an orphanage and have been on the run. 

City of No Tomorrow! The Long Road to Victory

Piccolo and Gohan return to the wilderness and begin their training. After that, Krillin and the others, who are fed up with not receiving much training, are led to a room where all time is mixed together and are sent on a journey through time. Having traveled through time and space, the four are suddenly attacked by a mysterious duo.

Last Stop on Serpent Road! Are you Kaiō-sama?

Six months have passed since the tail was cut off, and Gohan's tail has regenerated and he has once again transformed into a giant monkey! Piccolo immediately tries to destroy the moon, but no matter how much he attacks, he is unable to destroy it. Meanwhile, Goku has finally reached the end of the Snake Way.

The Battle with Gravity! Catch Bubbles-kun

Goku finally meets King Kai on King Kai's planet. He somehow manages to pass the gag test (?) set by King Kai, who loves puns, and finally begins his training on King Kai's planet. He chases King Kai's pet Bubbles for three weeks in gravity ten times that of Earth. After Goku successfully overcomes gravity and captures Bubbles, King Kai has certain expectations of him.

The Return of the Saiyan Legend! Goku's Roots

The next training that King Kai assigns to Goku is to hit Gregory with a hammer. Gregory is faster than Bubbles, so Goku desperately pursues him! One day, King Kai tells Goku the history of the evil Saiyans and how they were wiped out, leaving only four of them.

Come Forth, Shenlong! The Saiyans Finally Arrive on Earth

Goku finishes his training on King Kai's planet and tests the power of the super technique, the Spirit Bomb, taught to him by King Kai. However, the Saiyans are approaching Earth sooner than expected. Furthermore, King Kai's miscalculation is discovered, and Goku is forced to return to the lower world in a hurry. 

Unbelievable!! Saibaimen, Born from the Soil

The Saiyans Vegeta and Nappa landed on Earth, searching for the one with the highest combat ability, and flew to where Piccolo and Gohan were. 

Yamcha Dies! The Terror of the Saibaiman

Krillin, Piccolo, and Gohan stand face to face with the sinister Saiyans and their diabolical henchmen. The villains have already proven terrifyingly powerful. Can Earth's heroes hold out until Goku arrives?

Enraged over the loss of Yamcha, Krillin unleashes a powerful attack that destroys the maniacal Saibamen once and for all. Now Earth's defenders must battle the Saiyans themselves - starting with Nappa.
