The subway tunnel collapses, and the Wind Devils invade the building. Caesar leads the hybrids into a fierce battle. Meanwhile, in the tunnel, the dying Chu Zihang burns through all his blood, unleashing Blood Rage for a third time to fight Jörmungandr. Lu Mingze reappears to tempt Lu Mingfei.

Fenrir consumes Jörmungandr and unleashes an apocalyptic Yanling, drawing countless Wind Devils to sacrifice themselves. Caesar uses Blood Rage and upgrades his Yanling to fight the Wind Devils. Chu Zihang uses his last ounce of strength to send Lu Mingfei away, and heads back into a battle to the death. Lu Mingfei once again stands at the crossroads of choice.

Renata and Zero met in Black Swan Bay and became close friends. They vowed to escape this cruel experimental facility together. But on Christmas Eve, the night of their planned escape, Black Swan Bay was engulfed in flames. A crazed mob blocked Renata's escape route.
