Werlesiel is a tranquil place on the Frisian coast. But the idyll is over when a young woman disappears in the thick sea fog after a night of partying. Police officer Femke Folkmer does not believe that this is a normal missing person case and begins to investigate. Tjark Wolf from the Wilhelmshaven Criminal Investigation Department soon arrives to investigate the disappearance of the unknown woman.

During an operation by the Wilhelmshaven Criminal Investigation Department in the drug scene, Femke and Tjark's colleague Ceylan Özer is seriously injured and is now in mortal danger. Determined to convict the smugglers, Femke and Tjark follow every lead and soon realize that in reality an even greater crime is behind it. A warehouse worker is planning a major reckoning and is prepared to do anything.
