Boone searches for James Pike, a escaped criminal who was the first person to have a Talon implant. Pike leaves strange drawings on his prison wall to further confuse the investigators. Pike seems bent on a mission to kill Da-an.

Boone finds himself having a tough time concentrating on the theft of plutonium from a nuclear plant when a old flame comes to town and distracts him. He starts to question the integrity of his Talon implant.
