The Enemy Within
When a police officer is killed, apparently by two armed robbers of "middle Eastern" appearance, Muslim Detective Zane Malik uses his connections in the Arab neighborhoods of Sydney to track down the youths involved. Malik's search for the truth brings him into a head-on clash with old-school Detective Sergeant Ray Crowley, who accuses Malik of putting his community before his job.
Death at the Station
Bad drugs are being sold on the streets of Redfern. A local Aboriginal leader and anti-drug crusader is trying to get the drugs off the streets when he is shot. Some say he has been assassinated. Malik is determined to discover the truth - but Crowley has a personal stake in the case which may hinder the investigation.
Islander Sacrifice
Two Lebanese youths and a schoolgirl are killed in a drive-by shooting. Inspector Wright appoints Malik to run the investigation, but this doesn't sit well with Detective Sergeant Crowley.

The brutal slaying of a Vietnamese couple in Cabramatta is carried out amidst the stress of an Internal Affairs investigation. This time it's Malik in the hot seat. Whatever he says to the "toe cutters" will affect Crowley's future too.
