El accidente - Season 1

José, owner of a transportation company, goes on a work trip. His wife, Lucía, drops him off at the airport, and when she returns home the news informs her that the plane in which José was traveling has suffered an accident. No survivors have been found.

Lucía tries to overcome the disappearance of her husband with the help of her family. Her brother-in-law devotes himself to her and the child, but Lucía continues to think that there is something strange in José's silence and begins to investigate who the woman he has gone with could be.

Lucía can't believe that José is alive and questions him about what has happened, but he tells her a bizarre story. Furthermore, she is surprised that she does not want to report his alleged kidnapping, so she asks Juan to help her investigate.

Lucía discovers part of an earring in her husband's sweater and a thousand doubts about him arise again. Meanwhile, José is setting up the first drug transport behind Joao's back.

María finds Lucía injured in the middle of the road and takes her to the hospital where the doctors discover that she is pregnant. Lucía only shares this news with her friend Isabel and she does not tell José, since she is not sure if she wants to have him.

Despite her doubts, Lucía is unable to terminate her pregnancy. Meanwhile, José is living in the office and focuses his efforts on recovering her marriage and María tries to avoid João at all costs because she is convinced that he wants to kill her.

Lucía finds Lucas badly injured and terrified in her garage. He asks her to call José, but also begs her not to call the police. Since he has lost a lot of blood, she is weak, so Raimundo decides to intervene in the situation and remove the bullet.

José and Juan dig up the bodies and show them to João to try to prove that they had nothing to do with the drug truck affair. Although he is suspicious, João finally believes them. For her part, Lucía infiltrates the farm to take care of the pigs.

After receiving Lucas's head in a box, José and Juan are terrified. Full of anger, José goes to João's farm to ask him not to involve his family in the matter. The Portuguese is blunt, he asks for absolute loyalty if he does not want his family to suffer.

Raimundo manages to save Lucía from Paul's clutches and they are able to leave the farm together. When Lucía gets home, she breaks down and confesses to José that she is collaborating with the police so they don't put them both in jail. At that moment José understands many things.

Martín has Manuel detained in the warehouse and keeps him hanging in the face of João's disturbing threats. Meanwhile, María goes to visit José at her house to try to save herself from her and he agrees to get her out of there, actually thinking of taking advantage of the moment to fulfill her deal with João and kill her to save her son.

The murder has caused a real media stir. Lucía visits Jose in prison and he swears to her that he is innocent and asks her not to pay attention to anything he hears. Manuel blindly believes in Jose's innocence and confronts Juan.

Lucía goes to her furtive meeting with José and, when she sees María, all the pieces fit in her head and she understands that everything was a setup to deceive João. The time has come to abandon their current lives, for which the three are going to become protected witnesses with a new identity away from Zarza.
