Martín y Lucas ya están acostumbrados a vivir escapando aunque esta vez la Guardia Civil ha estado a punto de pillarles poco antes de llegar a su destino: El Internado. Lucas pronto conocerá a dos nuevas amigas, Paula y Evelyn, aunque no las ha pillado en su mejor momento. Paula piensa que está maldita, como la protagonista de un cuento que Héctor les contó en clase y ha decidido alejarse de todo el mundo para que no se vean afectados por su maldición. Fermín lleva días buscando al bebé de Irene Espí. Su madre lo depositó en el río, encima de un tronco, para alejarle del peligro de sus perseguidores pero parece que esa solución de emergencia ha sido la condena del pequeño. Mientras tanto, los chicos han encontrado el mensaje que Irene Espí escribió en el plato de comida antes de ser rescatada de los pasadizos: Soy Sandra Pazos, estoy viva. SOS. Por su parte, Héctor ha decidido vender uno de los diamantes que encontró en la cueva porque necesita dinero urgentemente. Conseguirá dieciséis mil euros con los que no contaba pero lo que no sabe es que la pieza de la que acaba de deshacerse es uno de `Las seis lágrimas´ de Volkonsky, de un valor incalculable.
