July 1975, Paradas, Seville, five people are murdered in a farmhouse. Two years later, Onofre, a young journalist, returns to his hometown, still in shock from what happened. At the request of his boss, he begins to investigate the crime. At the same time, in 1975, the financial intrigues of the Marquis of Bahía, behind the back of his father-in-law, began to get complicated in an unexpected way.

La reina mora
A clue about the Galindos' crime takes Onofre to Ceuta. There he meets Benito, a former legionnaire, with whom he establishes a relationship. His investigations behind his back cost him some displeasure and force him to leave there. At the same time, in 1975, the pressure around the Marquis grows. A hard blow shakes the life of his wife, Doña Concha, with unpredictable consequences.

Las voces del pasado
Onofre returns from Ceuta feeling more intensely the pain that the tragedy left in the town and in those close to him. Onofre meets Corporal Jiménez, a retired civil guard who was once in charge of the disastrous investigation. In 1975, the Marquis continued playing all bands. A worsening health of his father-in-law further complicates things for the Marquis.

Torre Bahía
Don Alberto's clue takes Onofre to Barcelona, where he discovers that he is now an accountant in a cabaret. Onofre returns to Paradas confused since the clues he follows do not give any answers. In 1975, Picazo investigated the estate's accounts on behalf of Don Alejandro, obtaining compromising information that the Marquis could not allow to reach the hands of his father-in-law.

Completado el puzzle
In Seville, Onofre, on the advice of Corporal Jiménez, directs his investigation towards Don Joaquín, director of the Paradas Savings Bank and learns of the Marquis' irregular investments. He meets Chelo again and coincides with the Marquis' mother-in-law, obtaining new data for the investigation. In 1975, alerted by Don Alberto of Picazo's intentions to speak with Don Alejandro.

Revelaciones
In 1975 the Marquis, Don Alberto and Curro went to meet Picazo to dissuade him and make him see reason. He does not rise up and a spiral of violence is set in motion in which five people will die. In 1977 Doña Concha, worried because Onofre has been talking to her mother, sends the Marquis to silence him. Thus the final confrontation between the Marquis and Onofre takes place.
