Joe's economy plans are going to cost Estate workers their jobs and Bill may be the first to go, but Joe is determined that he can get things sorted. Some junk has been dumped near the trout river at Home Farm and Alan wants Seth and Bill to clear it up. Bill and Seth reluctantly do so, but Bill says he is a cowman not a labourer. Annie makes a decision to have her knee replacement surgery, Phil attempts to take Sandie's mind off her upcoming exams, and Henry invites Amos to go with him to Italy.
