Rodney is angry to hear that Simon hasn’t told Nicola the bad news and so tells her himself. Nicola is furious that Simon has lied to her. Lesley later tells Nicola that Simon has had to sell his share of the restaurant as well as losing the fishmongers business. On hearing that Nicola knows his secret, Simon feels extremely guilty. The couple look set to split up unless Rodney and Lesley can make them come to their senses. Emily finds looking after the Dingles single-handedly a strain so decides to draw up a cleaning rota. Delilah flies into a rage calling Emily pathetic and tells her she’d have more fun if she was dead. Emily is shaken up but is grimly determined to continue with the rota. Meanwhile, at the factory, Delilah sets up a plan to make Eric appreciate Val more. She gives her the number of a man who owns a mill in Bradford, who can get her better fabric but for the same price, providing she doesn’t give Delilah's name.
