Latisha names her son Kirk, after Jason. After leaving hospital, Latisha arrives in the village, surprising Cynthia at work. Ollie makes a big effort for Cain and dresses to the nines. Gloria coaches Eric on wooing a potential new client, Glynis, who happens to be an old friend of her late husband's. Glynis is flattered, and impressed when Gloria reveals that she and Eric are living together. Carol and Viv continue to spar over the Naughty Nylons sexy photo competition, and a jealous Carol later argues with Cynthia when she sees her in the pub with Terry. Sam tries to get Lisa and Zak to talk, but he still won't tell her about why he left. Tara tells Virginia that her wayward nephew, Julian, will soon be forced to spend the rest of the summer under her supervision. Cynthia is reluctant to impose further on the Thomas family, but after Latisha confides that she left Kirk's father because he was beating her,
