Jimmy suggests to Kelly that they try and help find Bob for Viv - his true intention to go on the run ahead of Kelly's hearing the following day. Oblivious to his plan, Kelly agrees to go and packs a bag. Meanwhile, Jimmy pays Scarlett an emotional visit to say goodbye, the former not realising his intentions. A stunned Carl catches him leaving and fails to dissuade him from going. Humiliated that Bob has done a runner, Viv lies to the disbelieving villagers that he's away on business. Whilst a sympathetic Donna attempts to support Viv at home, Jamie is busy trying to convince Bob to return home. Elsewhere, Laurel's worried to find her dad's hospital bed empty and freshly made. However she's soon relieved to find him by her mum's bedside.
