Nicola reveals to Simon that all she wants is the man she fell in love with and hands over a cheque from Rodney signed to him for £25,000. A confused Simon is stunned. Nicola knows that Simon has refused Rodney's cash before but given their recent arguments over money, hopes that he will accept the cheque for the state of their relationship. Meanwhile, Jasmine tells Debbie that Ashley has changed his mind and agreed to let her stay at the vicarage and attend Hotten Comprehensive. Debbie feels a pang of envy, knowing she's ruined her own academic opportunities and realising how different she is to Jasmine.
