On the day of the wing walk there is no sign of Carl and Chas is certain that he can’t overcome his genuine phobia. However, as Alice’s plane takes off, Chas is amazed to see a petrified Carl following in tandem. Upon landing, Carl looks worse for wear and can barely form a sentence. However, despite being breathless, Carl manages to declare his love for Chas and once again asks her to marry him. Meanwhile, Paul reveals to Ivan that he knows about his aunt's wedding. Ivan reveals that as they have not been together long he doesn’t want to come out to his family. Upset Paul leaves. Angry that Paul has to turn everything into a drama; Ivan turns to Nicola for support. Meanwhile, Alice is still having second thoughts, wondering if the wing walk is a foolish risk.
