In Gan-Lu Temple, Zhen Huan falls for the emperor's brother, but upsetting news causes her to return to the palace, knowing the reality she will face.

Ye Lan-Yi leads a nun to the palace to testify to Zhen Huan's innocence; Wen Shi-Chu is ordered to castrate himself because of An Ling-Rong's threat.

Zhen Huan is pregnant again, but knows she is too weak to give birth, so she devises a plan to miscarry that will exact revenge upon the empress.
