Empty Nest - Season 3

Harry ends up going on a date with a brain surgeon who shows up at the office asking directions. Over time, while going on several dates, Harry starts feeling inadequate as a Doctor. Carol wants to get even with a man who flirted with her on a plane and never called her afterwords.

Harry feels like he is missing out on some things in life when his free spirit friend Mike stops by for a visit. Mike then invites Harry to come to Pamplona Spain with him for the Running of the Bulls.

Carol finds herself attracted to Barbara's new boyfriend.

Barbara has problems making a connection with one of her dates kids.

A patient's depression frustrates Harry.

Carol's new boyfriend (Michael McKean) troubles Harry.

Laverne Chooses to decorate the patient rooms without consulting Harry and he gets upset that she did not even ask him about it; Carols Precinct poker night is coming up and Barbara drives her crazy trying to get into the game.

Carol and Charley have a romantic encounter when they are both feeling low.

Barbara dates a guy who never seems to be available on weekends and Harry has suspicions about the man that Barbara won't listen to.

Harry's neighbor Mr. Patrick accuses Dreyfuss of being a father; Charley is hospitalized and something seems a bit off about his parents when they come to visit him.

Charley starts to like acting like a gigolo; Charley wants to be in the Weston family portrait when they realize how long it has been since one has been taken.

A new neighbor moves in and Carol and Barbara start competing for his attentions; Laverne is mugged and has problems dealing with the after effects.

Barbara mistakes Carol's boyfriend for a burglar.

Carol convinces Barbara to put on an act to get a promotion.

When Barbara and Carol go out to a restaurant, Barbara becomes infatuated with a man who is not interested in her.

The man that mentored Dr. Weston starts having age related issues with his practice putting Harry on the spot; Barbara and Carol put on a piano recital.

Barbara and Carol realize how long they have stayed at their childhood home and decide to move out, then they get upset when their dad does not try to stop them.

Harry dates a younger woman who is around the age of his daughters; Laverne gets a new nurse to orient and puts the nurse through the paces.

Harry dates a journalist who starts putting information about their dates in her newspaper column.

Laverne has to make a choice between her ethics and doing what her Aunt wants her to do in order to be given the down payment money on a new home.

Carol and Barbara get their annual health exam and Carol does not like what she has to go through because of a ulcer. Laverne goes to extremes to find something for Dr. Weston.

The Weston family goes on a cruise with the help of Charley and Carol has problems at first until she meets Mr. Wright. Barbara wants to try out for the talent show on board ship.

Harry looks forward to seeing a childhood sweetheart.
