Eränkävijät: Äijän retket - Season 1

Season 1
Episodes

Kimmo Ohtonen ja Alma
The dog Äijä and his owner Aki Huhtanen take journalist-author Kimmo Ohtonen and dachshund Alma on a whitewater adventure in the Käsivarri wilderness. Whitewater rafting is a physical challenge for first-time visitors, but the group eventually makes it to camp dry. The group spends the night in a tent in the peace of nature. The next day, Kimmo has a lesson in fly fishing ahead of him, which goes better than expected.

Jasmi Joensuu ja Keijo
The dog Äijä leads cross-country skier Jasmi Joensuu and Jack Russell Terrier Keijo on an adventure in the middle of the most beautiful autumn. The journey to the wilderness takes place by water, and the most handsome fishing boats in Käsivarri await them there. While Äijä and Keijo play with each other, Jasmi gets a crash course in fly fishing. The goal of the trip hosts is that by the end of the day, the athlete will have not only mosquito bites but also a bite from a fly fishing fly.

Pilvi Hämäläinen ja Humppa
Actress Pilvi Hämäläinen and kleinspitz Humppa get to test ice fishing on the first ice. Humppa in particular has been waiting with great excitement to meet his idol, the dog Äijä. At the end of the ice fishing day, the group spends the night in a place full of history. After a night spent in a cabin, the trip culminates with a brisk cross-country run, enjoying the magnificent scenery and good company.

Viivi Pumpanen ja Luna
The dog Äijä takes model and presenter Viivi Pumpanen and German shepherd Luna on a hiking trip in the nearby area. Luna, who is approaching retirement age, gets a new lease of life with her canine companion, and at the end of the day Viivi gets new experiences with winter camping. When the morning dawns, Viivi gets to brush up on her ice fishing skills after a long time. The group heads to a nearby lake to experience the peace of nature and to find something to take home before the long journey back.

Mikko Kekäläinen ja Kajo
Host Mikko Kekäläinen and 10-month-old Lagotto Kajo get to know the Äijä dog's home landscape. The group begins their adventure by setting off on a snowmobile to the border cairn between three countries. The puppy Kajo also survives the snowmobile ride with honor despite the initial tension. After a short trip abroad, Mikko gets to experience what it feels like to take a sauna and sleep on the ice of a lake. Best of all, after a good night's sleep, ice-skating spots await right outside the door.

Sirly Ylläsjärvi ja Poutine
Äijä and Aki are joined by chef Sirly Ylläsjärvi and the chihuahua Poutinen. The foursome head to Northern Norway to kick off the fly fishing season while the ground is still white in Kilpisjärvi. They aim for a gourmet dinner and a relaxing night's sleep in a tent in Yykeänvuono. The trip is also an exotic experience for Poutine, who is used to sunnier sandy beaches in his native France.
