In Inari, Jouni is hunting for prey from the Näätämöjoki River, but Emma has a different kind of snack in mind. In Käsivaren Lapland, Aki and Äijä are in the middle of a lifestyle overhaul and go on a fishing trip to escape the disciplined everyday life for a while. 17-year-old Silja is training with her dog Pliska for the Finnish Retriever Championship. Kati takes the family's eldest son duck hunting for the first time.

Mehtämikko embarks on a relentless trek to Norway, following the escape route of World War II resistance fighter Jan Baalsrud. In Northern Savo, Silja and Pliska get into real action with a pigeon hunt. Aki and Äijä relax in the peace of the wilderness, but meals should be found in the surrounding countryside. Emma and Jouni try to catch fish using modern and traditional fishing methods.

In northern Norway, Mehtämikko experiences heart-pounding moments. Silja and Pliska face the biggest challenge of the season: the Finnish Retriever Championship Trial. However, Pliska has bad luck during the trial. Emma and Jouni are heading to fish in the Vätsäri wilderness, but equipment problems delay their departure. Kati and Matias go goose hunting for the first time with their Finnish Spitz, Ruska.

The changing weather causes disagreements between Emma and Jouni in Vätsäri. Mehtämikko reaches the last day of his hike in Jan Baalsrud's footsteps, but the historic route has taken its toll both physically and mentally. Silja goes duck hunting with her family and friends. The group's dog hunting trial, where the result of the working champion is at stake, brings additional excitement.

In Vätsäri, Jouni's fish lust is growing, but before taking any real action, he needs to make sure the protection is in order. Milla and Samuli experience record-breaking moments catching a large pike in the Kemijoki River. Silja is nervous about the duck hunt and Pliska is practicing blood tracking for the upcoming deer hunt. The chicken hunt raises Kati's emotions.

Silja takes on a new role on a goose hunting trip in Estonia, and Pliska the dog gets to show off her skills in retrieving large birds. Emma and Jouni have arrived in Seiland for a traditional duck hunting trip. The sport is demanding, and the changeable weather makes fishing even more challenging. Luck is not always on Kati, Matias and Ruska's side when hunting for ducks.

In Turku, Milla and Samuli have a duck in their sights, but the hunt takes a new turn. In Estonia, Silja's dog Pliska has proven to be a skilled goose retriever, and results are expected this time too. Emma and Jouni's hunt for a duck in Seiland is getting intense. Mehtämikko has arrived for the autumn migration to the Lofoten Islands, but a backup plan is needed from the start.

In Lofoten, Mehtämikko prepares carefully for another day of hiking, because it can take a long time to find a suitable fishing spot. Silja is excited to try a new form of hunting, and the dogs are also going wild with the first snow. Emma and Jouni try sliding down a stream, but Emma's doubts arise. Kati goes to the hare forest with her son Peetu and her hound Herko.

In Inari, Emma has a special day ahead of her, fueled by a grouse hunt. The goal is to get a well-deserved crown for the day, and experienced bird hunters have been enlisted to help. Silja has arrived in Hämeenlinna for a deer hunt, but before the hunt begins, cooperation with Pliska is being strengthened. Aki and Äijä test the weather resistance of their homemade ice fishing sheet.
