The girls claimed the man had sexually assaulted and abused them for years. Friends and relatives of the family split into two camps: some believe Mikhail Khachaturian was a pervert and rapist, while others believe he was the victim of a planned crime.

In 2009-2010, a series of robbery attacks, particularly against police officers, swept across Primorsky Krai. Members of the group said that they decided to fight back against law enforcement lawlessness in the region. Investigators have never been able to figure out what the true motives of the criminals were....

On April 22, 2013, unemployed Sergei Pomazun shot six random passers-by with a shotgun in the center of Belgorod, hid in the woods for several days, was caught after a large-scale police operation and received a life sentence. What prompted the man to go out into the street with a gun is still a mystery.
