She doesn't know how to cope – until the mysterious Jannis shows her a way out...

Mila doesn't know if she can trust her perception and if she's really seen Ali again, the mysterious girl she once fell head over heels in love with in the clinic. On the other side of the spectrum is Jannis, who shares a similar view of the world as she does. As a young actor, he's in danger of sinking into the drug quagmire, and when he invites her to escape everyday life, she accepts – until a message changes everything.

A flashback shows Ali's journey through youth psychiatry: Between therapy, yoga, and inner chaos, she seeks stability. Then Mila enters her life—rebellious and contradictory. A fragile closeness develops that reopens old wounds. A visit from Ali's mother on her 18th birthday disrupts everything and threatens to destroy Ali's hard-earned progress. She flees the clinic, fleeing from Mila and herself.

Sophia escapes into romantic fantasies and begins an anonymous online flirtation with her teacher – until reality and fiction blur. Mila takes refuge in pills until Ali contacts her again. Jannis stumbles between grief and rejection, Chiara wrestles with her big dream—and Basti with his crumbling masculinity and his own failure.

Glow-Up
Jannis, in an emotional state of emergency, doesn't know what to do with himself, but then a realization about his online flirt changes everything. Mila increasingly seeks numbness because she can't handle her complicated feelings – and crosses a dangerous line with Sophia. Chiara pushes herself to the limit for her dream of cosmetic surgery, and Basti reveals his darkest side, revealing deep cracks in his facade.

Absturz
Carnival in Cologne: A bubbling cauldron of glitter, loss of control, and escapism culminates in an intense night that changes everything. On November 11, the group staggers through a day of intoxication, conflict, and disappointment. Between toxic love, repressed feelings, and escalating emotions, they reach their limits. But between panic attacks and carnival hits, moments of closeness and truth emerge.

Mila struggles with her demons – caught between love and a painful family history. Reality and fantasy blur, and she searches for love and a way out. Her friends also struggle with guilt, identity, and loss, searching for solutions: Ali loses her footing, and Leyla believes she's found true love. Sophia crosses boundaries, and Basti's powerlessness knows only one way out...
