Wang Chan's dreams of becoming a musician are stifled when he's forced to take over his family's funeral company. The cold and skilled Tang Tu-chih tests Wang Chan's mettle with a special training program.

Wang Chan begins his training, and his relationship with Tang Du Zhi takes a turn after alcohol is involved.

Tang Du Zhi begins to train Wang Chan and to make him understand the responsibility between life and death. However, his brother's attitude towards his succession is unusually cold, which makes Wang Chan suspect that there's a secret in the family.

Wang Chan struggles with his family responsibilities and his musical dreams. Meanwhile, Zhang Yi Qing realizes his feelings for Tu Jing He and tries to suppress them for the fact that Jing He is about to get married.

Wang Zhan gets injured trying to find his lost guitar, and Tang Du Zhi comes to his rescue and encourages him to take to the stage. As the wedding draws closer, the relationship between Tu Jing He and Zhang Yi Qing becomes more obvious.

After spending the night together, Zhang Yi Qing and Tu Jing He's feelings for each other go through a change. Wang Zhan continues to learn business management from Tang Du Zhi and competes with his new colleague Ian, who has returned from the US. 

Wang Zhan asks Ian for help in planning a surprise birthday party for Tang Du Zhi, unaware of how he might take such a gesture. Zhang Yi Qing clashes with Tang Du Zhi, forcing him to make a decision about how he feels for Wang Zhan.

Wang Zhan finally learns of his brother's illness, and feels remorse over his actions and their consequences while getting angry with Tang Du Zhi for covering up the truth. Tu Jing He confesses how he really feels to Zhou You Ning, but something unexpected occurs between them.

Wang Zhan and Du Zhi make up for their birthdays, with both of them confessing their love for each other. Wang Zhan is determined to take over the family business, but he runs into real issues on his first real day on the job.

Jing He and Yi Qing finally confront their feelings for each other. While Wang Zhan faces a crisis, Du Zhi stands up for his love while an even greater challenge emerges.

The company is formally entrusted to Wang Zhan, which leads to a tearful goodbye between brothers. The truth regarding Jing He and You Ning's wedding is revealed, while Wang Zhan and Du Zhi face a crisis. How will these threads of romance end?
