As express kidnappings grow rampant throughout Spain, Bárbara Vázquez becomes frustrated with the police force's inability to stop these crimes. She resigns from the police force and begins working at Zentral Risk, an insurance company whose star product is a policy with kidnapping coverage. The team conducts their first mission, which ends in an intense negotiation with one of the kidnappers.

A legal loophole helps one of the team members. The Express Team takes on the very important case of a Zentral Risk shareholder. Some kidnappers are holding an organ that was meant for his transplant. Meanwhile, Ms. Ortega is getting closer and closer to Bárbara at a very difficult time for her chief of operations' family.

Seeing how Bárbara is in a downward spiral because of her past trauma, Santa gathers her police record and gives her an ultimatum.
