Episode 1
In this first episode are two couples in their 20s, who both met as carefree students with their lives ahead of them, when their worlds were turned upside down.
Nick and Sophie, from Cambridgeshire, were in the middle of searching for a home together when Nick was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Thankfully Nick survived, but was left without his sight. Nevertheless, in light of their experience and remaining by his side every step of the way, Sophie accepted Nick's marriage proposal.
The second couple, Carly and Nelly, from Newquay, were also searching for their first home together when, in a freak accident, Carly fell backwards off a wall and was left paralysed from the neck down.
However, not letting the challenge that lay ahead beat them, rugby player Nelly proposed to girlfriend Carly and the couple did all they could in preparation for the wedding day she had always dreamed of.

Episode 2
In this second episode are Will and Amy, from Cheltenham, who were a year into their relationship when Will suffered a bleed on the brain. Thankfully Will survived, however his memory had been badly affected and since his injury he has struggled to retain new short term memories, including when he proposed to Amy.
However, refusing to be defeated, fiancee Amy spent hours formulating ways to train Will's brain, determined that he would remember their big day.
The second couple, Karen and Ian, from Scunthorpe, were three years into their relationship when at the age of 46 Karen suffered a stroke, which left her without the full use of voice. Karen developed a condition called aphasia, where she struggles to find the right words to form full sentences.
However, with their love as strong as ever, Ian proposed to Karen and worked tirelessly in the hope she'd be able to say her all-important vows on their wedding day.

Episode 3
In this third and final episode are David and Nicky, from Cirencester. An accident 17 years ago during David's first marriage, left him paralysed from the chest down. However, three years ago, plucking up the courage to try online dating, David met Nicky and they began their budding romance.
Now engaged to be married, the happy couple are determined to overcome any potential hurdles to reach their dream wedding day.
The second couple, Ellen and Ian, from Lincolnshire, had spent 21 happy years together when their world was shaken as Ellen was diagnosed with terminal cancer. With their time together so precious, the couple finally decided to marry while Ellen's health was stable, which could have changed at any moment.
With weeks to go before the wedding, Ellen develops a mysterious cough, adding extra pressure and emotion to their big day.
