Tricia and Kari are two exuberant best friends who have gotten into trouble and mischief together since they were 13 years old. Kindred free spirits and soul mates, they've been through a lifetime of fun, adventure and heartbreak. Two years ago Kari endured the loss of her six-year-old son, Hunter, who was born missing 90 percent of his brain. During the tragedy, Kari went through depression and gained a lot of weight. With the help of best friend Tricia, Kari was able to get through the hard time. Now these two frazzled ""Desperate Housewives"" will leave the car pools and housework behind and head to Los Angeles, where they are about to embark on the greatest adventure of their lives-an extreme makeover together.
