Episode 2

In this episode Rani, a chatty fish and chip shop owner from Sheffield swaps battered cod for sashimi and salt and vinegar for soy and wasabi as she tries to fake it as high-end sushi-chef.
Leaving behind her family, loyal customers and everything she knows, Rani heads to London's Soho to meet her mentors Kurt and Jordan, the owner and executive chef at top restaurant, Chotto Matte.
Within minutes it's clear that Rani and her mentors have a mountain to climb. Not only has Rani never made sushi, but she's also never even tasted it, and her first bite of raw fish has her running to the bathroom!
Over the next four weeks, Jordan and Kurt pull out all the stops to try and get Rani challenge ready – but it's far from smooth sailing…
From a disastrous knife skills test to a seemingly insurmountable aversion to raw fish and a crippling lack of confidence that has her clamming up in front of customers, Rani struggles at almost every turn. But Kurt and Jordan won't admit defeat, doing everything from taking Rani fishing (to get her to fall in love with sashimi) to pairing her with a performance coach and sending her to work with one of the top sushi chefs in the country.
But will all the hard work be enough when Rani faces her final challenge: competing in a cooking test against three professional sushi chefs in front of a panel of experts who will be judging her every roll, slice and garnish?
One thing is certain – Rani's journey from deep-fried fish to high-end sushi has been anything but easy. Can she rise to the occasion, or will the judges spot that she is Faking It?
