Farm 999 features dramatic farmyard accidents, rural crime investigations, heroic rescues and raging fires from some of the UK's most beautiful but isolated communities.

The series gets access to previously unseen CCTV, body cam and mobile phone footage from the incidents alongside the personal accounts of those involved.

Each episode brings viewers into the heart of these dramatic events following the challenges faced by emergency services in the air and on land who tend to life and death situations in often remote and inaccessible locations. It also follows police operations and investigations in these areas cracking criminal gangs and clamping down on the perpetrators.

Neglected Birds Found and Highland Blaze Seen from Space

In Hertfordshire, police rush to help an injured man trapped by his car outside a derelict farmhouse – but what begins as an emergency call, quickly turns into a serious animal welfare investigation. Inside the property, officers uncover alarming conditions and evidence of hundreds of neglected birds, prompting fears of an illegal chicken farm operating under appalling conditions. As the rural police team dig deeper, suspicions grow that the man they rescued may also be at the centre of the case.

In the Scottish Highlands, firefighters battled a wildfire so vast it was visible from space. As the blaze tore through farmland and a nature reserve, local farmers and wildlife wardens joined emergency crews on the front line. Two years later, those who fought the flames reflect on the devastation and the lessons learned about preventing future disasters.

And in Dumfries, reporter Paul Colgan takes part in lifesaving first aid training designed specifically for farmers. Led by volunteer medics with experience in military trauma care, the course equips participants with the skills to handle on farm emergencies, from machinery accidents to severe injuries – and could make the difference between life and death in Britain's most dangerous profession.
