Emma Banville sets out to prove the innocence of Kevin Russell, a man who was convicted for the murder of schoolgirl Linda Simms 14 years earlier. Firmly believing there has been a miscarriage of justice, Emma is prepared to go to extreme lengths to discover the truth and free Kevin.

Episode 2
Released from prison, Kevin faces abuse from the public as Emma takes drastic measures to get the case back on track. Miriam makes a call which has devastating consequences for Emma.

Episode 3
As Kevin's retrial begins, the pressure mounts on Heather to get Kevin back in jail and wrap up the case. Emma has a breakthrough with new evidence, but powers outside of her control seem set to crush her attempts to prove Kevin's innocence.

Episode 4
The forensics seem to prove Kevin's innocence until Heather and the prosecution deliver new evidence that gives Emma an impossible dilemma. Emma finally meets Yusef Attar and her investigation takes a completely new direction.

Episode 5
Locked up in America by the US air force Emma makes the breakthrough she desperately needs. With help from an unexpected source Emma edges closer to finding out the truth.

Episode 6
As Emma finally discovers the missing link in the case she is put in great danger, with powerful forces prepared to kill her to stop the truth from being revealed.
