Season 1
It's 1986, and teenagers are being murdered one after another in the area of government dachas on the Rublevskoye Highway. Valery Kozyrev, an intelligent investigator, his daring partner from Rostov, Yevgeny Bokov, and a young investigator named Natalya Dobrovolskaya begin their investigation, unaware of how it will change their lives. The only witness who can identify the killer is a schoolboy named Igor, whose parents are not pleased with their son's involvement with the police.

In a resort town in southern Russia, a child goes missing, and his mother leaves a note for Evgeny Bokov, asking for his help in the investigation. However, it soon becomes clear that the kidnapping is not the only issue: a psychopathic serial killer is on the loose, brutally murdering young women.

Season 3
После Фишера. Инквизитор
The daughter of a local official was found murdered in a small Altai town. After examining the case, investigators assume that this crime is connected with a number of other unsolved murders. Could this episode be the work of the infamous Barnaul maniac? The tangle of mysteries is being unraveled by Belova, a local opera house, and Terekhov, an investigator from Barnaul. Clues and guesses lead them to a mysterious savage girl who grew up in the taiga.
