Fix Me a Plate
Born and raised in the Big Apple, Alex is the quintessential New Yorker, and as such, she knows just where to go for a truly New York experience. For Alex, the "best" bites in New York are at old-school restaurants where you can get authentic, fresh, quality-made dishes for just a few bucks. We meet up with Alex in the kitchen of some of her favorite no-frills hangouts in the Big Apple for an insider's guide to their iconic dishes and longtime traditions. For local New Yorkers, this series will inspire them to try the best dishes in their own backyard. But perhaps more importantly, with Alex's culinary authority and one-of-a-kind humor, she will add color to their stories with her own experiences of eating there.
