Season 1

Episodes

I Smell a Rat
Russell Hantz and his big brother Shawn are about to flip their first house, and they're bringing in Kristen, one of Houston's toughest and most beautiful real estate agents. Shawn gets upset when he starts feeling like a third wheel, and Kristen can barely believe the level of family dysfunction between the brothers. To save a few bucks, Russell lets Shawn do the house inspection, but almost immediately things start to go wrong. With budget overages surging and Russell's marriage on the rocks, the "Survivor" spins out of control when he confronts a police officer about some stolen wood. Russell's first flip could be his last as he struggles to get the project done and make some money.

Race to the Finish
Russell and Shawn team up with their old friend Boo as an investor and head to a real estate auction. In pure Russell style, the team shows up with a briefcase full of cash to scare off the competition. They score a new house for a great price in beautiful Houston Heights, but one whiff of the property lets them know they are getting more than they bargained for. As construction delays and costs pile up, Boo gets nervous about his money. Afraid he won't be able to finish on time, Russell puts it all on the line, betting his future on a drag race against his friend Boo.

Kristen Saves the Day
As construction gets under way the boys gets a surprise visit from a local interior designer who is interested in purchasing the house, but only if they renovate to her exacting specifications. Shawn knows customizing the house could lessen its appeal to other buyers, but Russell smells money at the prospect of a quick sell, especially if he cuts broker Kristen out of the deal and pockets her commission. The boys argue over how many corners they can cut while still keeping Rachel interested, but when they skimp out on her fancy marble countertops they face losing their buyer, their broker, and a whole lot of money.

Family Feud
Russell and Shawn tackle a 3-bed, 2-bath while scheming ways to grow the company. Russell focuses on savings in the budget while Shawn dreams big, playing his own version of The Apprentice with their demolition crew and booking the brothers on a tour of a high-end office space. Russell loses his cool when Shawn gets the company involved with a house with a questionable history. If Shawn keeps costing Russell money, he might find himself on the chopping block and replaced by one of their other brothers!

Nightmare on Deal Street
Russell and Shawn view a mess of a property with a ton of potential, but when Shawn discovers the last occupant died in the house he gets spooked. Russell won't listen to Shawn's fears about ghosts and goblins and buys the house anyway. Once the boys start to clean the place out, Shawn thinks he's hit the jackpot when he finds some confederate era newspapers but fortune eludes him. Sick of Shawn's small scale yard sales Russell decides to go big and add a new room to the house, but Shawn is still convinced the house is cursed and an endless stream of structural problems may for once prove him right. Is this the house that finally scares Russell away for good?

Deal or No Deal
When we last left the boys and the Deal Street house, Russell was ready to call it quits. But after getting some inspiring new ink, Russell doubles down to prove that no house can get the best of him! He puts his philosophy of "Go big or go home" to work and decides to spend more money to expand the house in order to make more profit, but the high stakes take their toll. Kristen and Shawn fight over who gets to design an outdoor kitchen, Shawn can't catch a break when he takes on a lot of extra jobs, and a four-footed furry intruder forces Russell to pull out the big guns. The three flippers will have to learn to play nice if they don't want to lose their shirts on this house.

All in the Family
Russell and Shawn surprise their parents with a dream trip to Italy, and while they're away they secretly flip the family home. With only two weeks to get the project done the whole family lends a hand, but sparks fly when Russell starts to push the idea of selling the house. Dead set against Russell, Shawn takes on more projects than he can handle, and it looks likes Mom and Dad Hantz are about to return to a construction site and not a dream home. Can the brothers set aside their sibling rivalry and work together to get the job done?
