Originally beginning as a 90 minute programme in 2015, 'Football League Tonight' featured extended coverage of the weekend's Sky Bet Football League matches and every goal from all three divisions. Kelly Cates and George Riley were joined by players, managers and fans in the studio. In early 2016, the 90 minute programme was split into two distinct programmes 'Football League Tonight: The Championship' which focused only on the SkyBet Championship and 'Goal Rush: Football League Tonight' which featured the highlights from SkyBet League 1 and 2. Lynsey Hipgrave replaced Kelly when the show returned in August 2016.
