Episode 1
In episode one Paul meets a Dachshund mum and her pups, whom Battersea staff suspect has escaped from a puppy farm. Also this week, Paul meets Felicity, an elderly 14-year-old Yorkshire Terrier found wandering the streets by a member of the public. Felicity is 98 in human years and needs some familiar surroundings. To lift her mood, Paul tries a Dame Vera Lynn singsong followed by some trusted daytime TV. Felicity brightens as the pair settle down to watch Judge Rinder together.

Episode 2
This week at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, Paul O'Grady attempts to nurse back to health the most badly injured dog he has ever seen, a saluki. As part of his rehabilitation, Paul takes him to a retirement home where the dog is showered with some much-needed love. Meanwhile, Paul tries to find a home for an elderly, dentally-challenged Shih Tzu, and he is also faced with the prospect of de-fleaing a Yorkshire terrier puppy who was found as a stray.

Episode 3
Paul O'Grady meets Florence, a pug-terrier cross who's been badly injured in a car accident. While out helping with her rehabilitation, Paul bumps into Jennifer Saunders, one of Battersea's famous volunteers. Like Paul, she struggles to fight the urge to adopt all the dogs, including a nine-week-old spaniel pup called George. Paul also meets Spike, a ten-month-old English bull dog who is full of energy but has to stay indoors because he's recovering from airway surgery.

Episode 4
Paul O'Grady gets into full protective clothing to meet Humphrey, an 11 week old Bedlington Terrier who is suffering from ringworm. As Paul helps with his treatments, including medicated baths, his head is turned by the small pup who is struggling to stop scratching himself. Someone who turns up at Battersea with a luscious coat of fur is Buddy, a six month old Golden Retriever who was found tied to a railing on the street outside and is in need of some serious training.

Episode 5
In episode five Paul meets a mail order poodle bred to be the size of a teacup, a two-year-old Dogue de Bordeaux who it appears has been living in a cage and a high-energy Staffie who keeps being returned. Next, Paul meets Charlie the miniature teacup poodle who weighs the same as a kitten. Charlie was bought online and shipped to the UK for training but she hurt herself and was taken to Battersea. Finally, Paul meets Maggie, a Dogue de Bordeaux who is only two-years-old but has already given birth to at least two litters of puppies.

Episode 6
This week, Paul O'Grady helps to train a pomeranian puppy called Stormy who has landed in Battersea at only 9 weeks old, which is a crucial stage in a dog's development. He also meets a french bulldog called Spudnik who desperately needs surgery to open his airways but he refuses to go under anaesthetic. Paul and the team need to get him used to being handled so he can have his operation and get a new home.

Episode 7
Paul O'Grady meets a 10-week-old gender-neutral collie who's been rejected by their mother. He also helps to find a home for a mongrel called Hope who's been at Battersea for over 300 days and is struggling to catch the eye of a new owner. Plus, Paul's got his work cut out when a family of nine whippets arrive on site, including some three-week-old puppies in need of some O'Grady cuddles.

Episode 8
Paul O'Grady helps rehabilitate a mastiff cross called Maisie who's had surgery on her elbow. He pulls out all the stops, from taking her for hydrotherapy to finding her a boyfriend to encourage her to go on walks. He also needs to cheer up a heartbroken staffie who is struggling with life in the kennels having been dumped at the Battersea gates. There's also a huge arrival of 19 dogs who turn up, unexpectedly, needing temporary accommodation who Paul needs to help settle in.
