Forbidden History - Season 5

Season 5

Jamie Theakston returns to Yesterday for a brand-new and exclusive series that once again exposes some of history's greatest myths and legends.

During four previous, fascinating series, Jamie has travelled far and wide to places such as Jerusalem and Paris, North America and Sardinia, and London and Edinburgh to meet a host of fascinating people and colourful characters.

More than that, he dared to ask the questions and explore the subjects not featured in conventional history books: Did giants once walk the Earth? What is the truth about the bloodline of Christ? Did the Church cover up a ghastly secret at Fatima? What became of the infamous Templar treasure? And what powers did the Ark Of The Covenant really wield?

In series five, Jamie travels to Jerusalem to research and attempt to uncover the real story of Jesus Christ, goes to Germany to tell the story of the former East Germany's STASI, goes in search of Hitler's favourite painting and finds out about the Nazi leader's pet project for a so-called Führermuseum in his hometown of Linz, enlists the help of James Bond experts and a real former MI6 spy to find out where the real 007 really came from, investigates the Dead Sea Scrolls, and peers into the murky world of secret societies like the Freemasons.
