In a private clinic in a provincial town, they illegally perform plastic surgery to completely change the appearance of a local mafia. Despite all the confidentiality and precautions, an unknown person gets into the crime boss and injects him with a lethal injection.
At this time, a young nurse Vitya is on night duty - a modest student of a medical university, who is used to obeying everyone and always. Vitya, mistaking the patient's convulsions for a painful shock, injects him with a sedative, after which the head of the criminal clan dies. The nurse considers himself guilty of the patient's death, but his faithful friend Artyom advises not to panic and offers him an unexpected way out - to play the role of a mafia who changed his appearance - and draws Vitya into an adventure that completely changes his life.
