Fraud Squad - Season 4

Season 4
Episodes

Episode 1
The first film shows how organised crime has spotted a new opening in the market - the British obsession with property. Hundreds of victims have been convinced to buy land they were promised could make them a healthy profit when sold to housing developers. The fraudsters use high-pressure sales techniques to falsely claim the worthless land will get planning permission.

Episode 2
The second episode of Fraud Squad sees detectives from the City of London and Metropolitan Police pursue a gang behind the biggest ever bank cheque fraud in Britain, worth over £6.5 million.
The major banks are reporting thousands of stolen chequebooks and a huge surge in high quality counterfeit cheques. Detectives suspect one gang is behind the fraud, stealing millions from businesses, charities and private account holders across Britain.

Episode 3
In the second part of the investigation, detectives discover the gang is using a sophisticated smuggling network to move millions of pounds back to Zimbabwe. They step up their hunt for the mastermind Onias Hove, and discover the fraudsters have targeted the most vulnerable in society.
To distance themselves from the crime, the gang members use dozens of people, known as mules, to cash counterfeit cheques. When members are busy, they sub-contract this work to eastern European gangs.
