Episode 1
Elizabeth is American and a former Oscar-nominated actress, who now lives in a west London suburb with her publishing husband and spends a lot of time worrying about where the next job will come from. Matt has just been replaced by his assistant and for the first time in their marriage Matt and Elizabeth now have to spend their days together at home - two freelancers seeking work. Let battle commence.

Episode 2
Matt is desperate to edit an over paid TV historian's new book. To Elizabeth's horror, Matt invites him to dinner, claiming that she's the best chef in East Chiswick. To add to the pressure, Leon decides to gatecrash the dinner with the latest It Girl, Alison Fennel.

Episode 3
When Elizabeth gets an insultingly small role as a servant in a costume drama, she decides to dump her agent. Matt sneaks off to meet his ex-girlfriend, Heidi. She has written an ultra-violent horror novel and Matt's old boss, Stephen, has convinced Matt to sign her. Matt thinks it's rubbish, but Stephen insists it's the Next Big Thing. Will Elizabeth let him work with his ex?

EastEnders
Set in the East End of London, the show focuses on the tensions between love and family with stories ranging from hard-hitting social issues, to personal, human tragedies. And there's plenty of funny moments too.
Classic characters old and new across thousands of episodes have shared a drink in The Queen Vic, shed tears of despair or joy, sat on Arthur's bench in the Square... and at some point or other they probably crossed paths with Ian Beale.
