Cooking for a Birthday Party

In this programme Mairi is in Skye, Lewis and South Uist gathering tasty recipes for both children and adults for the perfect birthday party. Her cooks are on hand with suggestions that will make any tummy rumble, from fun and colourful cake pops that the kids will love making themselves to a moist sticky toffee cake. An expert young baker in Skye also shows us her favourite recipe - a chocolate traybake with marbled white and milk chocolate.

But before all these sweet treats some proper 'growing food'. Mairi makes fish fingers - a way to be sure the kids get some nutrition. An experienced cook and grandmother also shows Mairi a great way to sneak some fruit into the party food with her pork and apple sausage rolls.
