Funny Festival Live - Season 1

Jason Manford kicks off the series by welcoming four brilliant stand-ups to the stage to share their highs and lows of lockdown, as well as other hilarious observations. Judi Love shares her passion for masks while Toussaint Douglass explains why he hates cats. Newcomer Michael Stranney gives us an insight into his unique family life, and Jayde Adams is still trying to get away with murder. 

In celebration of International Women's Day, the second episode of Funny Festival Live features an all-female line-up. Hosting the show is Sara Pascoe, who shares the stage with three top comics.

Joanne McNally has been taking Ireland's comedy scene by storm, and here she dishes out sex advice while revealing her penchant for ugly fellas. Thanyia Moore offers her top tips for dating during lockdown, award-winning comic Rosie Jones reveals why she is a triple threat, and newlywed Pascoe bares all about spicing up her marriage.

Responsible for spreading some joy and laughter is top Welsh comedian Kiri Pritchard-McLean, who is joined by Jessica Fostekew, Chris McCausland and Dane Baptiste, as they take to the stage at a Covid-secure comedy club for the third instalment of Funny Festival Live.

Joining her on stage are three cutting edge acts, each bringing their own unique brand of comedy to brighten up your Wednesday night. Mancunian comedian Rachel Fairburn gives us a lesson in polite conversation; Darren Harriott discusses how to become a wine connoisseur, while Jo Brand explains the ins and outs of DIY enemas. And sketch group Britney make their TV debut in front of an audience of covid-tested production staff and a virtual audience tuning in at home.

In the final episode of Funny Festival Live, Nabil Abdul Rashid is at the helm with three extraordinary comics on stage at our Covid-safe comedy club, bringing some joy and laughter with their cutting-edge material. Tim Renkow presents the rough guide to wheelchair use on public transport, Catherine Bohart dissects the pansexual scale, Zoe Lyons has acquired some new skills and Nabil rounds things off with an insight into what it is to be a ‘practicing' black man.
