Since the foundation of the state these areas have been economic blackspots, ravaged by emigration. Eibhlín Ní Chonghaile meets with local communities to see where current employment trends are, discusses locals fears for their communities futures and gets an insight into the sectors which could offer sustainable employment to these rural and isolated areas in the coming years
