Gustav, Nina and Linus try to leave their old lives behind and move on after the fateful night in Frihamnen. The second anniversary of Sonja's death approaches and suddenly the siblings find themselves in great danger.

Emil suspects that the attack on the siblings may have a connection to his crown witness. Gustav, Nina and Linus try to find out who is responsible and finally they get a clue. But what they don't know is that someone else is one step ahead.

The threat to the siblings grows ever greater and suddenly a guest from the past appears at Gustav's house. Nina is forced to work with Barry's shady business partners to keep the company afloat. But something goes wrong.

The only way to try to eliminate the threat seems to be to appease the perpetrator. Emil succeeds in finding out the identity of the perpetrator, but during the operation for the arrest, something else catches his attention.

The children are put to safety and help comes from unexpected quarters. When the perpetrators show their true colors, everything is thrown out of whack and nothing is as it seems. It is no longer a question of an external threat. The danger seems to come from within.
