NRK has found new and possibly decisive clues in the 46-year-old criminal mystery about the Isdalskvinnen. The traces may reveal who the mysterious woman was - and has never before been investigated by the police. Now the investigation begins.

This summer, NRK found biological material from the Isdalskvinnen in a warehouse in Bergen. Now Kripos and the Norwegian Institute of Public Health have analyzed these tissue samples and made an attempt to extract a DNA profile, which may help identify the woman. Did they succeed? Two of Norway's leading forensic experts, Per Angel from Kripos and Nils Jarle Gjøvåg from the Vest police district, are looking for the place where the Isdal woman was found in 1970, using old photographs.
