George Clarke's Remarkable Renovations - Season 2

Season 2
Episodes

Episode 1
Architect George Clarke follows people as they breathe new life into old commercial properties. He begins in the Suffolk town of Framlingham, where pig farmer Paul and his wife Imogen have snapped up a collection of run-down and abandoned buildings, including a pub, butcher's shop, bakery and a slaughterhouse, with ambitious plans to restore the Grade II listed site and add a modern glass exterior.

Episode 2
George meets young couple Abi and Morveth, who have sunk their life savings into a disused electrical substation tower in Cornwall. Built on a hilltop in 1910, it was nothing more than a shell, having been left abandoned and exposed to the elements for 70 years. But after two and a half years, two extensions, an extra floor and hundreds of hours of work, the result is a unique home for the newlyweds.

Episode 3
George meets James, who has bought a former glassworks in Brighton and decided to painstakingly restore the whole property, down to the very last detail. With £500,000 to spend, it should be easy - but as George soon discovers, James never does things the easy way. Will his uncompromising vision live up to his high expectations?

Episode 4
George meets Peter and Julia, who had run their local Post Office and lived in the building above it for the last 20 years. Despite being forced to close the doors to the business, they felt such a connection with the building that they couldn't bear to sell it. But as soon as work began on the conversion, they discovered a crumbling wreck, falling apart at the seams.

Episode 5
George meets Stuart and Theresa, who were looking to downsize ready for retirement until they saw a huge and cavernous village hall for sale. Bigger than they bargained for, it was an opportunity too good to pass up. With 40 years in the building trade, Stuart and Theresa, with help from son Jamie, set about turning it into their home.
