George Clarke's Remarkable Renovations - Season 3

Season 3

Episodes

Episode 1
George kicks off a new series by paying a visit to solicitor Dawn, who is embarking on a mammoth renovation of her local village shop in Yorkshire, in a bid to turn it into a home for her and her two sons. But with a six-month deadline, no renovating experience and ambitious plans, including turning a storage room into an outdoor oasis, will her on paper plans work in the real world?

Episode 2
George meets Yohance, who has bought an office unit on a commercial estate in London, which he plans to turn into a two-bedroom house. At £360,000 it was half the price of residential equivalents nearby, but it's a cavernous, sterile and dark space, so the odds are stacked against him and his conversion. Is it even possible to make it the stylish and comfortable first home he wants?

Episode 3
George meets Matt, who bought a Victorian terrace in Laceby with a derelict bakery in the back garden. Most people would have knocked it down or used it for storage but not Matt. He hatched a plan to convert it into a home for his sister Charlene and nephew Louis. A home on one level would be life-changing for them, but the renovation isn't easy, as Matt wants to work to a tight £50k budget and do most of the work himself.

Episode 4
Rollo and Olivia have decided to swap city life for the rolling Chiltern Hills, snapping up an old barber's shop and its 17th-century attached building in Amersham. Run as a business for over 100 years, the Grade II listed hairdressers is in a state of serious disrepair. Their plan to convert the loft and create a modern open-plan ground floor is perfect for modern family living, but it's a risk in a building that's over 300 years old.

Episode 5
Marcus and Kathryn have lived in the same house for nearly 20 years and raised their three children there, but Marcus has always dreamt of renovating his parents' railway goods shed. When developers bought the land surrounding the building from his parents, he knew it was now or never.

Episode 6
In Wales, George meets Tim and Kirsti, who are embarking on a renovation to create a new home for their blended family. Tim's two children recently moved over from South Africa, making their current rental tight on space, so they needed to upsize and quickly. The high-street-shop-turned-accountants'-office offered the five bedrooms they needed for a price they could afford. However, it lacks a family kitchen as well as connection to the garden, so they need to build a modern extension. But the building was built in 1725, is listed and is in a conservation area, which doesn't make things simple.

Episode 7
Project manager Sam and plasterer Jimmy have sold both their houses and poured their life savings into the renovation of a Victorian pie factory they bought for £160,000. George Clarke follows their progress as the pair put their trade expertise to the test.
