Paranormal investigators are called by the Morgan City, Louisiana, police department to the site of a shapeshifting mist near the town's lake. Alarm is raised when the mayor reports the hauntings have spread throughout St. Mary Parish.

Ghost Girl
The team arrives at a home where an eerie ghost girl has been befriending children for generations. When they discover a darker entity lurking in the home, the investigators must figure out how the two spirits are related.

Blue Shirt of Idlewild
The team investigates a limbless phantom at a historic plantation in Patterson, La.; they soon face more spirits than they bargained for after discovering a connection to voodoo and the deadly yellow fever epidemic.

Pirate Island
A call from the Morgan City police sends the team to Louisiana's Atchafalaya Basin, where a trapper reports seeing two men vanish into thin air; a "Naked and Afraid" contestant reveals evidence of a dangerous pirate's spirit.

Irish Bend Soldier
The bizarre report of a solider's ghost at an antebellum home brings the team to Franklin, La; as they attempt to contact the spirit, they discover the plantation was seized by Union forces before the Battle of Irish Bend.

Berwick Bloody Four
The team takes on poltergeist activity connected to a gruesome murder in Berwick, La.; the case hits close to home after they link a baby doll from the crime scene to paranormal activity at their own headquarters.

Haunted Headquarters
The team uncovers the shocking history behind the location of their headquarters after an alarm is tripped at Morgan City's archives building; a surprise witness turns their investigation on its head.

The Man in Black
The team investigates downtown Morgan City after construction workers discover skeletal remains under the street; they turn to the community for help putting the town's spirits to rest.

The program received two Peabody Awards, two Grammy Awards, and several unwelcome shoulder massages. It won two Emmys for Outstanding Variety Series in 2013 and 2014, both of which appear to have been lost in the move. Colbert is pronounced koʊlˈbɛər, according to Wikipedia. His understudy is William Cavanaugh, who will be hosting The Late Show approximately one-third of the time. Good luck, Bill!
