But her age quickly becomes the least of her worries when her son Andrew confesses a big secret he's been keeping from her and tensions rise at her birthday celebrations. When Sue goes back to her flat in York, she encounters more than she bargained for.

Girlfrenzy
A terrified Linda finds herself out of her depth as DI Donoghue questions her on suspicion of murdering her husband Micky. With their friend facing the possibility of life in prison, Gail and Sue desperately try to help her before it's too late, but when they set out to expose the lies behind Carole's accusations, they're shocked to unearth the real truth and to discover that there's more to Carole than first meets the eye. Meanwhile, Gail's grandson's drug addict mother arrives on her doorstep.

Hip-Ocracy
Overstretched Gail reaches breaking point; with her son's drug addict ex refusing to return her grandson, Gail sets out to find him and bring him home. Linda's horrified when a revenge-seeking Carole breaks into her home, and the girlfriends are terrified to discover just how far she'll go when she's pushed to the edge. Sue's getting cold feet about laying herself bare in court; as John turns on the charm to win her over, can he tempt Sue into dropping the legal action?

I Pity the Fool
Sue and Gail are left reeling from Linda's shock revelation. With the prospect of Micky's body being found in Spain weighing heavy on her mind, Linda takes drastic actions that send her friends and family into chaos. After spending the night in a B&B, a forlorn Gail and her mother Edna return home to face the fire damage, but Gail's heart is lifted when her ex-husband Dave offers to help with the clean up, and she's hopeful that something good may rise out of the ashes. However, Gail is caught in the middle when tempers rise between Dave and resentful Tom. Sue's excited about her new business venture ‘Adorable Again', but her plans are eclipsed when she runs into John's wife Beth and discovers all is not well with John. With her age discrimination tribunal looming, Sue's shaken by the news, and when John lays his feelings on the table, Sue has to make a decision about what she wants, while Sue's son Andrew is forced to come face-to-face with his father and his family.

The Remains of the Date
Linda, Sue and Gail arrive in Spain to identify Micky's body. Following Linda's confession that she wanted her husband dead, Sue and Gail are astonished to learn she's been keeping the truth about their relationship a secret for all these years. As memories of that fateful night on the cruise ship flood back to haunt Linda, her friends are shocked to discover there's more than one secret she's been keeping from them. When a nervous Linda reluctantly visits the Spanish police to identify the body with Sue and Gail in toe, things take an unexpected turn and the girlfriends are horrified to discover the body on the slab could be the least of their worries. As a shocking revelation threatens to cause chaos for them all, Gail's horrified when Sue suggests a dramatic solution to their problems. But with everything at stake, will they be able to go through with it? And if they do, will they pull it off?
