In Season 2, as a new chapter in Abby's professional life seems promising, her personal life remains chaotic and all-consuming as her adventures in dating become even more unpredictable. When she becomes "the face of divorce" for chic lifestyle website SheShe, Abby is once again forced to live a lie hiding her complicated relationship with estranged husband Jake. But as Abby finds success preaching the pros of divorce to her readers and portraying a fabulous single life on social media, she is torn over whether her marriage is worth saving or if she should chart her own course. Throughout Abby's ups and downs, the one constant in life remains her incredible girlfriends. While Delia grapples with following the rigid traditions of getting married, Phoebe tries to leave her demons in the past as she looks to find her true self, and Jo deals with her ex-husband and new wife encroaching on her new LA life.

Rule #58: Avoid the Douchemobile
Abby (Lisa Edelstein) chooses between boyfriend Will (Warren Christie) and husband Jake (Paul Adelstein) as she gets offered a job working for SheShe, a popular online magazine. At SheShe, she faces opposition from Barbara (Retta), a rival editor who is less than thrilled with Abby's approach to divorce. Phoebe (Beau Garrett) acts out in response to Kori's (Suki Kaiser) civil suit against her. Jo (Alanna Ubach) picks up New York baker Scott (Will Kemp) to help open her new vegan bakery.

Rule #77: Don't Blow the Bubble
Abby (Lisa Edelstein) and Jake (Paul Adelstein) try and keep their secret relationship hidden while her managing editor Barbara (Retta) at SheShe pushes her to go out on dates to drive attention to her new blog. Delia (Necar Zadegan) hires a wedding planner. Jo (Alanna Ubach) moves out of Abby's house and prepares for the opening of her vegan bakery.

Rule #8: Timing is Everything
Abby (Lisa Edelstein) goes on a date with TV celebrity Dr. Harris (Mark Valley) to increase traffic to her new blog and please Barbara (Retta). Jake (Paul Adelstein) decides to tell Abby a secret he's been keeping from her. Jo (Alanna Ubach) starts to Tinder date. Phoebe (Beau Garrett) throws Delia (Necar Zadegan) an engagement party.

Rule #605: You Can Go Home Again
Abby (Lisa Edelstein) and Jake (Paul Adelstein) decide to define their relationship by spending a weekend at home without work, friends, and the kids. Phoebe (Beau Garrett) reconnects with friends from her modeling days when she is offered a new campaign. Delia (Necar Zadegan) and fiancé Gordon (Matthew Glave) go house hunting, but discover that they both want different things. Jo's (Alanna Ubach) daughter returns home after a visit with her father and new wife.

Rule #72: It's Never Too Late to Be a Mean Girl
At the news of Phoebe (Beau Garrett) getting her GED, the girlfriends throw her a '90s themed prom sponsored by SheShe. Abby (Lisa Edelstein) goes on a second date with Dr. Harris (Mark Valley). Jo's (Alanna Ubach) ex-husband, Rob Frumpkis (Maury Sterling), comes to Los Angeles to spend time with his daughter.

Rule #25: Beware the Second Chance
Abby (Lisa Edelstein) goes to New York City to sell her book 'Girlfriends' Guide To Divorce' to publishers and runs into Dr. Harris (Mark Valley) at the same literary convention. Becca (Julianna Guill) tells Jake that TMZ knows about her pregnancy and is about to go public with the news. Jo (Alanna Ubach) finally meets Frumpkis' new wife, Charlene (Megan Hilty), who comes to town with plenty of her own opinions. Phoebe (Beau Garrett) takes a women's studies class.

Rule #14: No Means...No
Abby's (Lisa Edelstein) parents George (Barry Bostwick) and Dina (Lesley Ann Warren) come to town and make a very unusual request just as Jake (Paul Adelstein) is about to leave for Latvia. At the begging of her daughter, Abby reaches out to Becca (Julianna Guill) to have a meeting. Jo (Alanna Ubach) goes on an online dating binge. Phoebe (Beau Garrett) goes on a date with her professor Graeme (Jack Yang).

Rule #79: Labels Are for Canned Goods
Abby (Lisa Edelstein) and Barbara (Retta) head to SplitCon, a convention dedicated to providing services for people who are breaking or broken up. Phoebe (Beau Garrett) gets introduced into the LA art scene by new beau Joaquin (Niall Matter). Jo (Alanna Ubach) fights Charlene (Megan Hilty) for control of her bakery and the attention of her daughter.

Rule #81: There's No Crying in Porn
Abby (Lisa Edelstein) wants to define her relationship with Dr. Harris (Mark Valley) but he isn't ready yet. Abby reconnects with escort Carl (Victor Webster) in Los Angeles. Delia (Necar Zadegan) finds out who sent the photos of her and Albert (Brian Markinson). Phoebe (Beau Garrett) is intrigued by new artist JD's (Aaron Staton) creative process. Scott (Will Kemp) pushes Jo (Alanna Ubach) to fight for what's hers.

Rule #36: If You Can't Stand the Heat, You're Cooked
As a heat wave overtakes LA, Abby (Lisa Edelstein) is told by her editor Kat (Jean Smart) that her book is in need of a major overhaul. Abby decides to put Dr. Harris (Mark Valley) to the "boyfriend" test and invites him over to meet her friends and kids. Phoebe (Beau Garrett), with the help of ex-husband Ralf (Charles Mesure), puts up an art show for her new boyfriend JD (Aaron Staton).

Rule #118: Let Her Eat Cake
After collapsing after the birth of Becca's (Julianna Guill) baby, Abby (Lisa Edelstein) is ordered to stay at home and rest. The girlfriends throw Delia (Necar Zadegan) a surprise bachelorette party at a male strip club, a treat from Barbara (Retta). Phoebe (Beau Garrett) deals with the fallout of her almost kiss with Ralf (Charles Mesure). Jo (Alanna Ubach) is having mixed feelings about Scott (Will Kemp).

Rule #876: Everything Does Not Happen for a Reason
It's Delia's (Necar Zadegan) wedding day! After betraying Delia and revealing her affair to the girlfriends, Abby (Lisa Edelstein) has been uninvited to the big day. With her deadline looming, Abby focuses her energies on finishing her book "Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce." Barbara (Retta) discovers that Abby is starting to unravel and rallies the girlfriends to help. In a scramble to get Abby to mend things with Delia, no one sees the big surprise that is revealed at the wedding.

Rule #59: Happily Ever After is an Oxymoron
Abby (Lisa Edelstein) and the girlfriends help Delia (Necar Zadegan) cope after the fallout of Gordon's (Matthew Glave) news. Jake (Paul Adelstein) returns from Latvia with a secret to tell Abby. Jo (Alanna Ubach) has to finally face her feelings about Scott (Will Kemp). Phoebe (Beau Garrett) makes a surprise announcement. Barbara (Retta) eyes a new potential love interest.
